Get Premium
The Mac app comes with Browsec Premium. Buy a plan first. The installer is free, and one plan covers up to 5 devices.

Pick the right package
Not sure which Mac you have? Open the Apple menu > About This Mac. If it says Chip Apple M…, download the Apple Silicon .pkg. If it says Processor Intel, take the Intel one. If GitHub is blocked where you are, use a mirror.

Run the installer
Open the .pkg and click through the installer. macOS may ask for your Mac password at the end. This is the standard permission for installing apps.

Open Browsec from Applications, log in with your Premium account, pick a location and click Connect.

How do I set up Browsec VPN on a Mac?
Download the .pkg that matches your Mac's processor from this page, open it and follow the installer. macOS may ask for your Mac password at the end. How do I turn on the VPN on macOS?
Open the Browsec app and click Connect. To switch servers, click the current location and pick another one from the list of 46 locations. The list shows live ping: the lower the number, the faster that server is for you. To turn the VPN off, click Disconnect. The app protects the whole Mac, so Safari, which has no Browsec extension, goes through the VPN too.
Which Macs does Browsec support?
The app runs on macOS 12 Monterey and newer, on both Apple Silicon (M1–M5) and Intel Macs. Each processor has its own native .pkg. To check yours, open the Apple menu > About This Mac. If it says Chip Apple M…, download the Apple Silicon version. If it says Processor Intel, take the Intel one. Macs on macOS 11 or older are not supported.
